Will you be an advocate for CivicBand?
Hello! As of right now, CivicBand is tracking 2.3 million pages across 175 municipalities. We’re just getting started, and we want you to be involved.
CivicBand needs your Advocacy!
We’re building the largest collection of civic meeting data so people can know what’s going on with the governments that affect their lives. But it only works if people know this data is here, and as accurate as possible.
We’ve had folks across the country reach out asking how they can help, and today we have an answer: By becoming a CivicBand Advocate.
CivicBand Advocates:
Are an individual or organization that wants to adopt a CivicBand site
Surface any data issues they find in the underlying site as they’re using it, so we can fix them
Work with us to get more folks in their community using CivicBand
In exchange, Advocates get:
A name and a link on the site they adopt
Early access to new features
Priority on suggesting and adding new municipalities
If this sounds like something you or your org would be interested in, reach out to hello@civic.band, or reply to this email.
CivicBand on the Radio!
In Tampa, Florida, Michael Bishop and the Tampa Monitor are providing the civic journalism that CivicBand wants to make possible, and using our Tampa site to help.
Michael will be on WMNF, 88.5 FM, tomorrow morning to talk about their work and how civic data is peeling back the curtain on governments across the region. If you’re in the area or listening online, tune in:
Friday, December 20th, 2024 @ 11am ET
Just by being here you’re demonstrating your care for civic data and government transparency. If you have ideas for sites to add or features that could make CivicBand more useful, please let us know, and reach out any time. We love to chat.
Thanks!
